"From Tree to Table: Our very own Olive Oil! : Aroma Cucina

We discovered that our Etruscan roots are apparently as deep as the roots of an ancient olive tree. I guess this is why olive picking feels so very pagan. Alora...we successfully got our hard earned, hand picked olives well pressed, and are now in possession of a year supply of our very own Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And it is Buonisimo!
Check out the olive pressing process (photos step by step). It is fascinating and although high tech machines do today what the Etruscans did by hand (or foot) long ago, the process is basically the same, and the results still magnificent! We're bringing some back to NYC next week. Can't live without it. I think a little bruschetta to start the Thanksgiving dinner may be in order.
